Leadership
FOUNDER & CEO | Melissa Bennett Simeon, CISR
​
After growing up in Madisonville, Melissa attended the University of Georgia where she studied International Business. While there, she was one of a handful students selected to study at the University of Oxford in International Affairs and a year later at Universidad de Cadiz in Spanish Studies.
​
In 2008, Melissa embarked on her insurance career, first learning the ropes and then diving into the servicing of a $10 million book of business. By 2021 she had grown to handling $20 million in business. After years of experience and education in the industry, she has started one of the only woman-owned independent agencies in the Greater New Orleans area.
​
Melissa has a passion for insurance, and takes great care in educating her clients. Deciding on the right insurance coverage for a business can be a daunting task, but with access to dozens of national and regional markets Melissa and her team are able to curate the best options for each unique client.
​
In the community, Melissa currently serves on the board of the Home-builders Association, as Chairwoman of the Professional Women in Building, on the finance committee for the LASPCA, as a commissioner for JEDCO and as a member of the Junior League and Apartment Association. She provides insurance insight to the Times Picayune and as a speaker at local & regional events.

PRESIDENT | Brian M. Bennett

After graduating from LSU in business management in 1980 he joined Liberty Mutual as a property specialist. There, not only did he gain valuable training that propelled him into a very successful production career, but he also developed an expertise for habitational property insurance. Brian transitioned to the agency side of insurance years later and grew his book of business to a multi-million dollar book. His specialties include contractors, habitational, engineers, wholesalers, and other specialized trades in the Southern states. He now joins his daughter as President of Bennett Simeon Insurance and looks forward to what the future may hold for them both.

As a former competitive wrestler, Chad's competitive fervor carries over into his insurance career. Chad fights for his clients, negotiating the best coverage at lower premiums time and time again. Chad's expertise and attention to customers are unrivaled. His passion is protecting families, their businesses and assets. With 10 years experience as an account executive, Bennett Simeon Insurance is proud to have him as our Vice President.
